How PokeZone uses cookies
PokeZone uses a small number of cookies and browser storage features so the app can remember your session, optionally keep you signed in with Google, and save progress to the right account or browser.
What we use
`pgrid_session` cookie: this is the app’s browser session cookie. It gives your browser a stable session ID so PokeZone can remember progress in the same session over time.
Google/Auth.js session cookies: if you choose to sign in with Google, additional authentication cookies may be set so the login flow can complete and your sign-in state can be remembered.
Local storage: we use browser local storage to remember that you dismissed the cookie notice popup.
Why we use them
The session cookie helps PokeZone keep your browser linked to your gameplay state, including guesses you make in PokeGrid.
If you sign in and choose a username, that browser session can be linked to your app account so your progress and score history stay with that account.
Signing out of Google does not automatically unlink the browser session. If the browser session is already linked to an account, that device can continue to look like a linked browser until its cookies are cleared or the app later adds an explicit unlink feature.
How to clear them
You can clear cookies and site data for PokeZone in your browser settings at any time. Doing that will remove the local browser session and dismissed-popup state.
If you have used Google sign-in, signing out ends the Google/Auth.js login session, but it does not remove the app’s own linked browser session cookie by itself.
What we are not doing
This cookie notice is informational. PokeZone is not currently using analytics, advertising, or marketing cookies as part of this feature.
